 Better than organic,

C4 BRANDED BEEF IS ALL-NATURAL

C4 Branded Beef exceeds the USDA standards for "organic" meat.  Although the USDA has established FEEDING standards for "organic" beef, those animals can still be medicated under certain conditions and, after slaughter, large "organic" beef producers still allow their beef to be PROCESSED in a traditional method, which may involve soaking or injections with a brine solution, dying the meat to maintain the bright red color, and adding preservatives to maintain "freshness" on the grocer's shelves.

Feeding

The C4 Branded Beef feeding operation is not certified as organic, due to the lack of available organic feed in the area; however, unlike much of the organic beef on the market C4 Branded Beef is:

  • Hormone-Free

  • Drug-Free

C4 Branded Beef receives only natural unmedicated feeds, including locally raised corn and hay from people with the high standards indigenous to agriculture on the Eastern Plains of Colorado.  The animals also receive (and enjoy!) Loomix Cattleman's Choice, a natural supplement to their feed to ensure a well-balanced diet with all the necessary vitamins and minerals to maintain the good health of C4 livestock.  C4 Branded Beef animals are never ever treated with hormones.  C4 Branded Beef animals are never medicated.

Processing

  • Preservative-Free

  • Color/Dye-Free

C4 Branded Beef is custom-slaughtered at a family-run, USDA-inspected facility in Elizabeth, Colorado.  C4 Branded Beef is aged naturally at optimum temperature for 21 days to maximize tenderness and flavor.  Aging has been nearly eliminated by large commercial operations that require a fast turn-over.

Customers quotes:

"There is simply no comparison between C4 Branded Beef and meat from a grocery store--no matter what it says on the commercial label."

"This is what meat is SUPPOSED to taste like."
